OUR WORSHIP SERVICES
Shabbat Morning Main ServiceUsually held in our beautiful sanctuary, our Shabbat morning service is the centrepiece of our week. The voices of our Cantors and Temple Singers lead our prayers in celebration of Shabbat. The teachings of our Rabbis explore Jewish ideas and Jewish ideals. The life cycle occasions of our congregants --
Babynaming, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Ufruf, Special Anniversary, Significant Birthday, acknowledging recovery, accomplishment or loss -- bring our congregation together in sacred community to share in each others' joy and sorrow. Kiddush-lunch follows for all to gather and greet. |
Shabbat Morning Family ServicesEvery Shabbat morning during the school year, this family-friendly service brings us together for delightful prayer and song. Three simultaneous, age-appropriate learning sessions and an informal lunch make Shabbat family time. |
Shiva Services
Our capable and compassionate lay leaders provide 8 pm evening services Sunday through Thursday in the homes of congregants in mourning. To make arrangements, contact Hayley McAdam, 416.789.3291 ext. 246. |
Shabbat Tish
Imagine your ideal of a Shabbat table - surrounded by friends,
delicious food and magical music. We invite you our warm Shabbat potluck, accompanied by zmiris (singing), oneg (much joy), and storytelling. You will feel at home around the Shabbat table, lead by Aviva Chernick and Rabbi Jordan Helfman. At 'The Tish', you will meet up with old friends, make new friends, and experience a place that is truly Shabbat. |
